This past weekend, the most JOYOUS couple said “I do” at their Fountainview Mansion Wedding and it was perfect. When Nicole contacted me back in August about her and Reid’s wedding, I knew it was going to be a good one. Nicole and Reid met their freshman year at Auburn when they sat together in biology lab. Throughout their relationship, not only have they fallen more in love with each other, but they continue to fall deeper in love with The Lord. The kingdom is glorified through their relationship, and that is so beautiful to witness. If you spend any amount of time around these two, their joy is instantly contagious! They have such a fun loving and goofy relationship, and I could not be more humbled that Alexis and I were able to capture their love story.
It was supposed to pour the entire day on Saturday. Instead, we did not get one drop of rain. Not even a drizzle! We were blessed with the most perfect day. Y’all, God is so good. And He provided more than we could have ever imagined. From the moment I arrived, I was filled with such an overwhelming sense of calm. This wedding was even sweeter to me because I already knew three of the four bridesmaids personally. There’s something so special about getting to work with dear friends on their wedding day, and these gals welcomed me with such love and grace!
To start the day, Nicole and Reid shared in the sweetest first look. After embracing one another, they performed a foot washing ceremony. This outwardly symbol of promising to serve one another from this day forward was so humbling to witness. Like I mentioned earlier, Nicole and Reid are some of the most joyful people that you will ever meet. Their smiles never left their faces, and they were so gracious and wanted to make sure that everyone else was taken care of during the day. Their ceremony was one that I will never forget, either. Pastor Blake from the Church of the Highlands knows Nicole and Reid on such a personal level, and there was not a dry eye when they read each other their vows they had written. After worshipping together for the first time as husband and wife, the two became Mr. and Mrs. McClenny!
Shooting a wedding at Fountainview Mansion has been a dream of mine for quite some time. And let me tell y’all, it was more wonderful than I could’ve ever imagined! If you have ever been to Auburn, Alabama, you know that it is filled with classic Southern charm. But once you drive up the winding driveway to Fountainview Mansion, you are instantly transported to a different place. The mansion sits atop of a beautiful hill surrounded by rolling countryside. The grounds are filled with old-world charm, and you completely forget where you are. It was also the sweetest surprise when Nicole told me that her florist was Tori Brinson! A couple of years ago, I had the biggest pleasure of working with Tori in her FIRST wedding! What a blessing to be surrounded with such wonderful, incredibly talented people!
Nicole and Reid, I could seriously go on for pages and pages about how much I adore y’all. It was the biggest blessing to be a part of y’all’s day! Between your gorgeous venue to all of the little details, and the overarching joy throughout the day, your wedding could not have been a better reflection of you. Thank you so much for giving me the honor of capturing these memories that will surely last a lifetime & beyond. I hope these images bring you as much joy as they do to me!
