Happy Wednesday, y’all!
This past weekend, we celebrated with Jordan and Ryan in the sweetest little town of Mooresville, Alabama, at their Creekside Plantation Wedding! Their entire day was absolutely wonderful from start to finish, and it was the biggest honor to be a part of their day! Jordan and Ryan’s love story started quite some time ago.
“Ryan and I met through mutual friends, but we lived in different cities about 20 minutes away from each other. He lived in Decatur, and I lived in Athens. We technically went to the same elementary school for several years in Decatur and probably met then, but since we don’t remember we don’t count it. Ryan and I spent a lot of time together because our group of friends were always together. We developed a very strong friendship very quickly. It took him about two years to finally tell me that he had had a crush on me for a long time. At first, I was upset because our friendship now had a very awkward feel to it, but over time we worked through that and we were back to normal. About 9 months later, after coming to my senses I finally told him that if he was still willing, that I was ready to give a relationship a shot. We have been going strong ever since! Luckily, we both had our sights set on Auburn. I know a lot of the time high school couples go to college and realize that they want different things so they split up, but coming to college only made our relationship grow even stronger. We definitely had a lot of growing to do, but growing together really made a difference. Now looking back, we joke about how I used to say “I could never date Ryan” all the time, and how God really has a sense of humor. Thank goodness He saw fit to change my heart!”
Jordan and Ryan clearly have such a beautiful story, and they could not have been more gracious to everyone around them on their wedding day! Whether it was thanking vendors, or hugging their loved ones, it was so apparent how much they deeply care for others. They also could not have surrounded themselves with a better group of people! Their entire bridal party was so much fun to be around, and they made my life so easy!! It’s not everyday that I can say that working with a bridal party of 20 seemed effortless, but in their case, it couldn’t have been more true!
Creekside Plantation also served as the most perfect setting, filled to the brim with Southern charm. A massive front porch with beautiful white columns, surrounded by horse pastures and gorgeous oak trees. As soon as I pulled into the driveway, I instantly knew why they fell in love with it! Everything from the stunning florals, to the simple and elegant reception was perfect from start to finish.
But most importantly, Jordan and Ryan, I have to thank y’all again for allowing us to be a part of such an important season in your life! There was not a moment in your day that wasn’t filled with love, and I could not be more thankful for y’all!
CONGRATULATIONS MR. & MRS. HUGHES!!
