Oh my goodness, y’all, my fall weddings are off to the BEST start. There are truly not enough words to express how wonderful Chelsea & Josh’s Cedar Plantation wedding was. Chelsea and Josh’s love story started back in the fall of 2014. After graduating college, they actually moved into the same apartment complex and were introduced by one of Chelsea’s best gals and bridesmaids, Elizabeth. Her friend went to Clemson with Josh, and they invited the girls over. It might not have been love at first sight, their friendship quickly grew and they decided to give dating a chance. Turns out, it was meant to be! 🙂
I first met Chelsea when I was going through recruitment at Auburn my freshman year. At that time, Chelsea was the president of our sorority, and Lauren (another bridesmaid) was the recruitment chair. Both Chelsea and Lauren held themselves with such grace and poise, and I looked up to them in more ways than they will ever know. So needless to say, I was incredibly humbled and blown away when Chelsea reached out to me about her wedding. And WOW am I thankful that she did!
Chelsea and Josh’s wedding was elegant, timeless, and perfect in every way. Chelsea looked absolutely flawless in her dress, and Josh was so dapper in his classic tux and black and white polka dot bow tie. The greenery and white throughout paired perfectly with the bridesmaids gorgeous silver sage Show Me Your Mumu dresses.
Looking back, my absolute favorite parts of their day was how down to earth and in the moment everyone was. Chelsea started the day with a first look with her dad, and then gifted her parents with a book of her favorite memories. Tears were shed all around, and it was so evident how close she is with her parents. Chelsea then got to have her first look with Josh. Always my FAVORITE part of every wedding! Chelsea and Josh read their personal vows to one another, and then Josh prayed over them and their marriage. I could just see how at ease this put them, and they were able to soak in every single moment throughout the day.
As y’all can clearly tell, I could seriously go on for days about these two and their wedding. I adore y’all more than you know, and I am so grateful that Alexis and I were invited in to share in your most special day. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for entrusting me with your most precious memories. I pray that y’all will continue to keep Christ at the center of your marriage, and that these images will forever bring your back to this beautiful new chapter!
