I cannot believe that Fall weddings are officially underway! This past weekend, Tori and Zeke became Mr. & Mrs. Rearden at their Farm at Rocky Top wedding! Their entire day was centered around their love for their families, and they had so many wonderful sentimental details throughout. Tori and Zeke actually met playing softball in Auburn. Tori says that Zeke had his eyes on her, and she didn’t even know he existed. She says that their first words to each other were something to the sort of “I can’t high five you because you’re an Auburn fan”. Needless to say, their Auburn/Alabama rivalry is a big deal. Luckily, their love got through it 🙂 Tori and Zeke pretty much love everything about the outdoors. They love to hunt, fish, ride four wheelers, you name it. Naturally, Zeke proposed in one of their favorite places.
“We have always loved to go to their land and ride four wheelers and during hunting season we’ll go put corn out for the deer. We had planned to go to the land and honestly I always thought he would propose at the land because that’s where we had our first date. But he threw me off by going to a different piece of land then the one we went to for our first date. We got there and he said we were going to go put corn in a certain spot and he went to grab a bag of corn so I went to grab a bag with him. He insisted on me not carrying a bag and of course being stubborn and not knowing what was going on I fussed because I didn’t want him to have to make two trips. We were walking down to the spot (both of us carrying 50 pound bags of deer corn) and he told me to get close behind him because the snakes might be out. I followed close behind him making it to where I couldn’t see in front of him. We got to the bottom of the hill and he moved out of the way and had “Marry Me” spelt out in deer corn. He had trail cameras set up that recorded all of it and it was perfect!”
The Farm at Rocky Top served as the PERFECT venue for Tori and Zeke! The barn is absolutely gorgeous, and is nestled on acres and acres of land surrounded by a beautiful pond and a gorgeous outdoor ceremony site! One of the things that I loved most about their wedding was all of the sentimental elements that they incorporated. Tori’s bouquet was wrapped with lace from her mother’s wedding dress. Her ring box was her future mother-in-law’s. Zeke and his groomsmen had shotgun shell boutonnieres. Zeke’s grooms cake was on a table with a hunting theme, and included feathers and other natural elements. There are so many others that I can list, and reflecting on all of them makes it so evident how much their wedding was truly theirs. Tori’s uncle was their minister, and it was so special to see him marrying Tori and Zeke. But one of the most beautiful things was how Tori and Zeke honored Christ in their marriage. During their ceremony, they tied God’s knot. They braided together three cords of a rope; symbolizing that marriage takes three.
Tori and Zeke, thank you for being two of the most genuine, servant hearted and down to earth people I have had the pleasure to be around! Y’all made everyone at your wedding feel so loved. It was so evident to see how much y’all are adored by everyone around you! From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for trusting me enough to capture one of the most important days in your lives. It was an honor and a privilege. I wish you the absolute best that marriage has to offer!
