This past Saturday, Danielle and Cory said “I do” in front of their families and closest friends at their Ray’s On The River Wedding. Their day was intimate, genuine, and filled with so much love and adoration. Danielle is Jessica’s (My Style Vita) older sister, and I am so grateful that our paths crossed. When Danielle and I first met, she informed me that she originally didn’t want to have a wedding. She would have been perfectly happy just going to the court house and calling it a day. Cory and Danielle actually lived one floor apart in the same apartment complex for three years before meeting walking their dogs. After a few “accidental” meetings there after, the rest was history. Danielle describes herself as very non-traditional and not super mushy, even their proposal is out of the ordinary! One of Danielle’s best friends owns a jewelry story in Oregon, and after some careful scheming, Cory got him in on the plan. Danielle unknowingly designed her own engagement ring, and after a lotttt of consideration (Cory had to change the knee he was kneeling on three times) Danielle said yes!
It’s absolutely no secret that these two were made for each other. They have the same passions, drive, humor, and goals, and they were both glowing on their wedding day. They shared in the sweetest first look (tears were shed all around, even her little sister was crying from afar). And were really present the entire day. They were so appreciative and attentive to every single person there. They didn’t have a traditional bridal party, but they were surrounded by their best friends and families. Danielle’s dad was the ordained minister for their ceremony, and it was so beautiful and special to witness. He included so many amazing and funny stories of the two of them, and kept coming back to their love story and respect that they have for one another.
Even though Danielle said that she originally didn’t want a traditional wedding, their wedding day was perfect in every single way. No detail went unnoticed, and her event planning skills were truly put to the test. Everything from her simple, stunning dress, to her INCREDIBLE succulent bouquet, to the succulent table runners and everything in between. Simple, elegant, timeless and beautiful. And let’s not forget her amazing cake and dessert bar!! Danielle’s mom did the most wonderful and thoughtful job with this, and it was the biggest hit.
Danielle and Cory, thank you so much for allowing Alexis and I to be a part of your most special day. We absolutely adore y’all and know that you have such a wonderful future ahead. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Gill!!
So much love,
the creative team
