Oh my goodness, y’all. Do I have an INCREDIBLE day to share! Michelle and Dylan’s 173 Carlyle House Wedding was filled with some of the most beautiful moments I have ever witnessed. Between the sweetest first look with her dad to start off the day, to praying together before their ceremony, and hands down the best first look I have ever seen when Dylan saw his bride for the first time! The Bell’s celebrated with the most wonderful group of people, and their day was nothing short of perfection!
Their story is unique because their love was built on a two year friendship. “Dylan and I met when he started working for campus recreation at Auburn. He got hired in May of 2013 and we met during their training. At the time, I was a supervisor so I was technically his boss. I knew right away that he was a cutie and someone I wanted to get to know! We became fast friends but Dylan wanted nothing more than a friendship for 2 whole years. During those 2 years we talked everyday and picked out a dog together but he still refused to date me. Now we are thankful for that foundation and luckily one day Dylan woke up and decided he wanted to date me.”
That foundation is what makes their relationship so strong. The way that Dylan looks at Michelle, you can see the pure love and adoration that he has for her. And of course, they have an AMAZING proposal story as well! “Our proposal was the most thought out proposal I have ever heard of. Dylan started planning in February of 2016. He mapped out a route in Destin with our family to ensure everyone was involved. The day of, Dylan told me he wanted to take a walk to a little beach not far from our little hotel room. When we started walking, I could tell he was acting super weird and nervous. We walked over a bridge and at the end I saw my parents, holding a sign and two roses. Dylan had signs made for the occasion with our favorite bible verse and some songs. We kept walking and I saw his family holding roses as well. Our next walk was a little further but I saw my brothers at the end and thats when I started crying. Dylan’s sister and step brother were there as well. When we got to the end of the beach there was the most beautiful sunset. And in that moment, I was dripping sweat and crying but I didn’t even care because I saw Dylan down on one knee with the most beautiful engagement ring.”
Michelle and Dylan could not be easier people to celebrate. Their entire day, they could not have been more present and gracious to everyone around them. They are each other’s perfect complements, and their laughs and smiles light up every room that they are in. I don’t think I stopped smiling/tearing up the entire day. While the details of a wedding day have value, nothing is an important as the moments. I have absolutely no doubt that these beautiful moments will be cherished and passed down for generations to come.
Mr. & Mrs. Bell, I could go on for days about the two of you. Alexis and I are so thankful for you both, and it was the biggest blessing to be able to spend your most precious day with you! CONGRATS MR. & MRS. BELL!!
So much love,
Alexis captured one of my FAVORITE pictures of all time! Pure, beautiful love as Dylan saw his bride for the first time!
