Oh my gosh, I could not be more excited to be sharing Keith & Makenzie’s amazing Kennesaw engagement session with y’all! Just bear with me, this blog is filled to the brim with goodness!! Not only am I sharing their engagement pictures, but I’m sharing their proposal as well! The story of how all of us came to know one another is one of my favorites. Upon graduation this past Spring, Mitch and Keith both started their jobs at Brasfield and Gorrie. But the story of how I met Keith goes back even further. Our parents had a bunch of mutual friends when Keith & I were babies, and we grew up going to the same birthday parties together. To top it all off, Makenzie and I both grew up doing competitive gymnastics, and definitely crossed paths at meets. Our stories continue to cross, and it just makes our friendship that much more special! We live in a very, very small world 🙂 After starting work, Mitch and Keith became fast friends, and naturally the four of us started hanging out as much as we could. Makenzie and Keith are two of the sweetest, most down to earth, loving people that you will meet. They care deeply for their family and friends, and Mitch and I are so thankful for their friendship!
The love that Makenzie and Keith have for each other will make your heart so happy. After going to high school together, their paths did not cross again until college. Makenzie was at school at UGA and Keith was at school at Wheaton in Chicago. They had their first date in their home town of Kennesaw, and had plans of having ice cream at Kennesaw Mountain. But as they got there it was raining, so they ended up having their ice cream in the truck. Fast forward two years filled with plenty of long distance dating, and flights to and from Chicago, Keith knew it was time to propose. On the day that Keith was going to propose, of course it was pouring down rain. But after some careful planning and scheming, I managed to get a clear umbrella to Keith and he was ready to go. Not only did Keith propose in the exact same spot that him and Makenzie had their first date, but it was also raining just like it was on their first date. Talk about full circle! And I don’t know about you, but the rain made everything that much more romantic and wonderful! It’s such a blessing to be able to document proposals, and it’s that much more special when it’s for your dear friends. To be able to share in this sweet moment with them is something that I will never, ever forget!
And just like that, the rain stopped and the skies cleared!! Just in time for a few pictures before we lost all of the light!
I will never, ever get over that proposal! A little over a month later, I met up with Keith and Makenzie for their engagement session! It was a GORGEOUS fall day and was right in the peak of all of the fall colors on the trees!! Like me, Mak loves trees, and we were waiting for the perfect time for all of the beautiful color! And it was perfect 🙂 These two are so dang easy to take pictures of because everything is so effortless. They are so giggly and fun, and I had the best time with them!! To make this day even more perfect, they invited Mitch and I to meet up with them for dinner before Mak had to head back to Athens. That is where they asked both of us to be in their BRIDAL PARTY!!! We are just so grateful for these lifelong friends. And I could not be more excited for them as they enter in to this sweet season of life.
Keith and Mak, we love you dearly!! We cannot even wait until your wedding this June!!
So much love,
