Wedding season is officially here and I am OVERJOYED! What a blessing it was to celebrate with Sydney & Patrick this past weekend at their Stave Room wedding. The entire day, Sydney and Patrick were surrounded by the most wonderful family, and it was so evident how deeply loved they are. Friends and family came from near and far (as far as Austria!) to witness these two become husband and wife, and it was a beautiful sight!
Sydney and Patrick actually met at work ,”I had been employed there for about 3 months and he came up from Tampa to “interview”/accept an offer and I was the one who gave him a tour of the building. It was on his birthday (St. Patrick’s Day). We worked together for about 6 months, growing extremely close as colleagues and then when the time was right we expressed that we had mutual feelings and it was almost immediately that we knew our connection was something we would only find once in our lifetime!”
It wasn’t long before these two fell head over heels for each other, and Patrick planned the most thoughtful proposal! “We were going to NYC for a Kings of Leon concert in January 2017 and to visit with a few of my friends that live in Manhattan. The concert was on a Friday and on Saturday he told me we had plans to go to Central Park for the evening (I assumed we were going to go ice skating). We head to Central Park around 7pm and as we are walking across the infamous Gapstow Bridge, we stop to admire the buildings- he asks a group of 6-7 people if they would take a photo of us, just as they get done taking the photo they start singing and after about 30 seconds I realize they are singing a song that is super meaningful to Patrick and I (Say You Won’t Let Go by James Arthur). He asks me to dance so we start dancing as they serenade us and towards the end of the song he gets down on his knee and asks me if I would be willing to spend the rest of my life with him! Of course I said yes and I was so excited I didn’t even look at the ring and after we were hugging/kissing/crying, he asked, “…don’t you want to see the ring first?” (haha I can never tell the story without adding that part in). The song he had the acapella group sing had been a very special song to us from the time we first started dating- I will be walking down the aisle to the violin version of the song and our first dance is to the acoustic version.”
A year and a half later, their engagement came to an end as they became husband and wife! Sydney and Patrick value family time over everything else, and gosh do they have a beautiful family! One of my favorite parts about their wedding was getting to see how joyful Patrick’s daughter, Aleksandra, was! Aleksandra is eleven years old, and is mature well beyond her years! She absolutely ADORES Sydney, and it was so special getting to capture their relationship.
So many incredible vendors came together to bring Sydney’s vision to life, and everything was beyond STUNNING! But it was the moments that made the day so beautiful. Whether it was the sweetest first look as they tried to hold back tears, Sydney’s bridesmaids praying over their marriage, or Sydney walking down the aisle by her father and step father to her and Patrick’s song. Every part of their day was a perfect reflection of their relationship.
Once they were officially husband and wife, it was time to party! And let me tell y’all, this group sure knows how to have a good time! All of the Bama fans in the room were in for a treat as Sydney and all of the current and former cheerleaders took the floor to cheer on their alma matter.
Sydney and Patrick, I could go on for days about how wonderful y’all are and what a blessing it was to be a part of your day. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for inviting me in to capture these precious moments! I adore you both!!
CONGRATULATIONS MR. & MRS. FOOTE!
How precious is this picture of Patrick and Aleksandra?!
If you look close enough in this picture, you can see a tear falling from Sydney’s eye! Such a precious moment
All of the Bama cheerleaders came to the floor to surprise everyone!
